Anne : Absolutely! During the COVID-19 lockdown, I opened my living room to provide shelter for Susi, the founder of NÆ | LU. It was during this time that the idea for the brand was born. Witnessing the passion and dedication that went into creating NÆ | LU, I couldn’t help but become a fervent advocate. From offering insights on marketing strategies to spreading the word about this great venture, I’ve been privileged to contribute to its growth and success.

Anne : Thank you. Whether it’s lending a helping hand to the team or offering strategic advice, I strive to uplift and empower others. Coupled with my marketing experience,I try to help to shape the brand’s direction and foster a positive and nurturing environment.
NÆ | LU : We’ve heard about your exceptional talent for writing studies that explore the concept of boredom without being dull. Could you shed some light on this intriguing talent?
Anne: (Laughs) Yes, it’s true! Boredom is a fascinating emotion, and I’ve dedicated considerable time to studying its nuances. In my research, I strive to delve into this and other complex human experience, trying to better understand how emotions impact our decision making and behavior.
NÆ | LU : Alongside your intellectual pursuits, you also possess an adventurous spirit and a love for surfing. Can you share a memorable experience or your favorite surf spot?
Anne: Surfing is my sanctuary, a place where I feel truly alive. One of my most memorable experiences was riding waves in the Transkei in South Africa and sharing them with hundreds of dolphins. The sheer power and beauty of the ocean are awe-inspiring and humbling at the same time. It’s a place where time stands still, and every wave offers a moment of pure exhilaration.
NÆ | LU : Lastly, what message or philosophy do you live by, and how does it influence your approach to life?
Anne: I believe in embracing life’s opportunities and living it to the fullest. I strive to find happiness and contentment in the present moment, appreciating the small joys and never taking anything for granted. This philosophy fuels my thirst for adventure, as I recognize that life is a journey meant to be explored.
